Luke is Born at 1921 hrs (7:21 pm)

Luke Christopher Farr was born on 11-7-09 at 1921 hours. He weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21.5 inches long. I don't have time to write any captions so enjoy the pictures. It might be overkill but we got some good ones and couldn't choose between them!

Luke's Birth - 1704 hours

Dialated past an 8 and getting ready to push, probably 1 more hour.... Dr. Lesser is being called to get things going!

Luke's Birth - 1542 hrs

Dr. Lesser came in to see how things were progressing. Julie is now at a 6+
Amelia came in before Julie has the baby. They are only allowing 2 people including the father to visit at the hospital now with H1N1

Luke's Birth - 1430 hrs

A picture with the Anasthesiologist (sp?)Water has been broke, Epideral is in.... dialated past a 5... moving right along!

Luke's Birth - 1400 hrs

Julie's Nurse... Things are progressing a little at a time, she has dialated to a 3 to 4 but the baby is still sitting high.She's beginning to get hungry since all she can eat is suckers and ice.
Julie's contractions have been regular for a while now. She is doing well working through them.

Luke's Birth - 0845 hours

We had to call the hospital at 0600 in the morning to see when we needed to go in. The hospital had a busy night and told us they would call us when they were ready for us. We go the call at around 0800 hrs.We took a couple of quick before pictures before we left for the hospital.

We got checked in and had to fill out all the paperwork. We had to fill out the birth certificate document. The official name is Luke Christopher Farr (unless he comes out as a she, then we'll have to re-evaluate. We're 99 percent sure it's a boy)

Julie is ready to get going and have the baby. I will keep posting pictures occasionally to keep everyone updated on what's going on...

Halloween

The night before Halloween was fun for the kids. They were all excited to go trick or treating the next day.

Billy and Maggie got to go to a neighbor's birthday party which was a dress up party on Halloween day.

Later that day they got to go to Trunk or Treat at the church building.

When it got darker the kids also got to run around the neighborhood and trick or treat. They ran from door to door.

Maggie started to wear down toward the end of the evening.

Payson is the neighbor boy who had the birthday party. All the neighborhood kids went trick or treating together.

We relaxed the rest of the night around a couple of fire pits and enjoyed each other's company and handing out candy to the kids coming through the neighborhood.

The night wound down, the fires died out. Julie and I commented later that this was one of the best Halloween nights we've ever had.
