We had a neighborhood BBQ in honor of our neighbor across the street (Dave) coming home from Iraq. Dave is a pilot and was very glad to be home and see his daughter who had grown in the six months he had been gone. Drew also kept her occupied though during the BBQ and even shared a cracker with her much to her parents dismay. Sprinkler time! All the neighbor kids took the opportunity during a particularly hot day to run through the sprinklers in our front yard. We are really lucky to live in a neighborhood with kids who are the same age as our kids and neighbors who we enjoy. Billy's Kindergarden class. Billy went to afternoon Kindergarden and they had a class program where they sang several songs.
Singing during Billy's Kindergarden Class program. Billy's friends (Hunter and Cody). Billy has told us several times that Cody is his girlfriend. I'm going to have to keep a close eye on that one! Billy with some friends during a field trip to the park. A fielf trip to the zoo had been planned but fell through at the last minute so all the kids had fun playing at a park near the school. Even Maggie got to be involved. Maggie taking advantage of a photo opportunity in the park during Billy's field trip.Billy of course had to take a picture too once Maggie had gotten her picture taken.
Maggie at her Pre School program and graduation.
A video clip of Maggie singing during her program. She definately loves to perform when she has an audience!
Maggie's Pre School teacher presenting her with a diploma and her graduation cap. Part 1 of our backyard project this summer. Tim Jr, Julie's brother, helped us by driving a frontloader and leveling part of our backyard. We also had to build a retaining wall along our neighbors yard so we don't encroach too much. The neighbor, Brian, also helped with the retaining wall as, "he was the one who was going to have to look at it!" I appreciated everyones help in this first stage. Next will be another retaining wall, more leveling, sprinklers, and hydroseed.

Another good picture of Tim Jr operating the machinery.

More climbing.
Arts and crafts time at the Nature Center.
The ride home on the bus. Overall it has already been a fun summer so far. I can tell that it will only get busier both during the summer and next school year. Billy is excited that we enrolled him in both Karate and Soccer while Maggie is looking forward to Dance. All this means more driving around for Mom and Dad, but also hopefully more fond memories. We look forward to a long eventful summer and hopefully we'll be able to catch some of the fun moments and post them on our blog.
