Lagoon Summer of 2008

We all went to Lagoon amusement park about a week ago and Julie forgot to take her camera. These are some of the pictures that were taken with Jen's camera that she e-mailed to us. Billy was finally tall enough to ride all the rides and didn't dissapoint. There wasn't a single ride that he was too scared to ride. It was a fun day! Julie and the kids went swimming half way through the day at Lagoona Beach. Afterwards they rode more of the rides. Drew was even able to ride a lot of the rides. At first he didn't know what to think, but after he began riding more and more he decided he liked riding them.

The last weekend of Summer Break

We decided to have a fun day with the kids on the last weekend before school starts back up. First we had to go shopping for school clothes for Billy because he has grown out of everything he owns. Next we went to Olive Garden (One of the kids favorite restaurants) where the kids ate tons of breadsticks with dipping sauce. Last we stopped by this water fountain park where the kids had fun playing in the water.
Both Billy and Maggie took turns showing Drew how to properly get wet.

Drew was soaked, but still wanted to keep going. He loved it!
Drew was trying to catch the water as it came out of the fountain. He was fascinated!

We knew it was time to be done when even Maggie ran out of steam and decided to lay down next to mom and bundle up.
It has been a fun summer and it was a great way to wrap it up. Now we get to look forward to dance with Maggie and Soccer for Billy. We can't wait to get started.

Drew and Grandpa Tim's Birthday Party

Drew and Grandpa Tim have birthday's that are close together so we got together with Julie's side of the family along with Andy and Megan to celebrate both Drew and Grandpa Tim's Birthdays.

Grandpa was excited to learn how to play the ukulele.

While Drew had to have something that would make a mess!
First it was time to open cards...

Happy Birthday Drew!!

1 year old, we can't believe it! We are going to celebrate his birthday tomorrow but I had to include this video clip as Drew has been walking all around making the sound he makes at the end of the clip.

New Sod Part 2

Here are a few pictures of everyone helping lay the sod. Approximately 2900 square feet and it was done in just over 1 hour. Thanks to all my friends, neighbors, and co-workers who helped out.

Drew was his happy self as usual. He sat in his dish and watched us work.

We are finally finished and so glad to be done with that project. Next comes the shed then the trees for shade. The kids are already excited to play on the grass in two weeks.
